With just two months to go before Sparkle 2010 we wanted to bring you the latest update:
Tickets for the Sparkle Ball are selling well, but as we have to pay for the buffet in advance there will definitely be no tickets on sale at Sparkle and in fact sales will close by mid-June. So if you are thinking about attending the Saturday night Ball then please book as soon as you can to avoid disappointment! See http://www.sparkle.org.uk/sparkleball.html
Entries for the new Tranny’s Got Talent and Tranny of The Year are open now. Again if you are thinking of taking part in either then please don’t leave your entry too late. Both have a maximum number of entrants and last minute entries may be disappointed. We are happy to welcome back those who took part in TOTY last year. See http://www.sparkle.org.uk/toty.html
And finally we do need a bit of help from you too! As previously we are looking for some volunteers to act as Stewards in the park on the Saturday afternoon. You would only be required to do a two hour ‘shift’ – 12 noon until 2pm / 2 – 4 / 4 – 6 or 6 – 7.30pm. The choice of time is down to you. We are obliged by law to have Stewards or the event can’t take place, it’s not hard work and we would appreciate some support.
If you are willing to volunteer then please contact Jane Maybe who is the Chief Steward this year: firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to seeing you all in July!

In celebration of the Angels reaching the grand old age of 10 years old in January 2010 I would like to announce that we are having a little party to celebrate.
The party will take place at the Pink Punters club, Fenny Stratford (near Milton Keynes) on Friday 22nd January 2010 (Link to map).
The nearest hotel is the much-loved Campanile across the road. Book early to guarantee a room, and there’s an early bird discount if you book a room more than 30 days before the event.
More details will be revealed nearer the time. Please spread the word. Use the banner below if you want to help advertise the event.
This season’s must have essentials are the fabulous new range of Sparkle merchandise, designed exclusively for us, by our very own Kim.
T-shirts, vest-tops, hoodies, caps, bags even knickers – all available in a choice of colour and size, featuring one of the new Sparkle designs. Design colour and position are also variable and you can even add your own text to personalise it and make it unique for you!
They are perfect for wearing at Sparkle or in advance to show your support and help publicise the weekend – and, of course, they look fantastic anywhere!
Every sale earns commission for Sparkle, so not only can you look great but you can feel great too as you have helped support the Sparkle weekend.
